Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress that works in television, film and theatre. The most famous of her roles is Teri Joe the fiery lawyer in her role on the Showtime program Soul Food. Nikki Kodjoe became her stage name after her wedding. Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland she showed an inclination toward acting since when she was a child and won a Best Actress award at a Maryland high school contest. She earned her acting degree at New York University after working in the Washington Ballet Company' as well as performing in the theatre. Contractor who was born and raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai when he was 7, had traveled the world and experienced many cultures as a child. The conservatory in Stratford is home to eight males with four females, and a handful of additional people to take a 20 week crash course.
